Attention Flash Animators of deviantART!
With the release of Resident Evil 5, the series that started 13 years ago wraps up its story of mindless zombies, mutant monsters with giant eye balls, dogs jumping though windows and a guy named Wesker that just won't stay dead. I've been a big fan of the series, and the series is ripe with memorable characters and scenarios and ridiculous situations.
Which is why I think its time to poke fun at it once again!
Spanning 3 console generations and 7 games (not counting spin offs and remakes), this collaboration project will have no shortage of material to spoof. Tentatively titled "The Biohazard Chronicles", the plan is for it to cover the entire Resident Evil timeline in the main series.
The style of the collab is much like the "nin10doh" series (which was much like "Robot Chicken"): quick and punchy skits ranging from 10 to 40 seconds in length. A few of these will continue throughout out the entire movie, but most will be one shot deals. Contributors will not be limited to one movie, but can do multiples if the want to. And although me and my friend have several skits in mind you won't be forced to use them.
Although I'm opening up this collab to "the public," there will be a degree of quality control. The general rule is "don't be horrible" and "make sure your joke fits the tone of the movie." If you're terribly unfunny... like I mentioned before, I have some backup scripts for you to use an/or alter to your liking.
Also, I want to keep this T rated. Aka, don't say the F word and don't show a penis.
Optimally, I would like each game to have 2 to 3 parts, but that's not a absolute rule.
Technical specs:
It will be presented in the default Flash format (550 x 400). Please include a bar at the top and bottom (for subtitles and movie control)
24 FPS and all your animation in a MOVIE CLIP. Also give all your symbols a unique name (example: joey_jill_arm1, richie_zombie_head5)
And again, the goal is to have each skit be 10 to 40 seconds long. Nothing toooooo long or drawn out.
